First homestand of the season not enough for the Capitales

Veteran pitcher Karl Gélinas makes the first pitch of the 2019 season for the Québec Capitales at the Stade Canac. The Caps lost their home opener 9-2, to New Jersey, on May 21.

Veteran hurler and pitching coach Karl Gélinas pitched eight strong innings, striking out eight batters as well, and led the Québec Capitales to a 2-1 win over the Rockland Boulders in Can-Am Baseball League action on May 26, at Stade Canac. Along with his eight strikeouts, Gélinas allowed only two hits and one base on balls.
